Windows Central has not confirmed the name with its sources though, so it still refers to it as the Surface Book 4, currently. Apparently, Microsoft is considering releasing the device under its Surface Laptop series as a Surface Laptop Pro or a Surface Laptop Studio. Windows Central believes that Microsoft may shake things up with the Surface Book 4 though, starting with a different name for the machine. In the six years since the inaugural model, the Surface Book series has gained a 15-inch option, a USB Type-C port and a subtly different keyboard deck, but most changes are internal ones. Microsoft has stuck with the Surface Book design since 2015, for better or worse.
